European military history task force Existing army rank[ edit ] Lawrence was not " working, despite his existing senior rank in the army Colonelas an ordinary Aircraftman, under an assumed name". Let's start with the sand. The reality is that Ashley was kidnaped by a man she thought was a friend and held hostage, tortured and imprisoned for nearly a year.
